A great book to read about forgiveness and redemption is "Through the Gates of Splendor" by Elizabeth Elliot. It's a true story and you will be sucked in right away.
She went through a very challenging situation and was faced with a choice. Was she going to become bitter, angry or was she going to forgive and trust God.
