"You may be only one person to the world but to one person you may be the world."
Think about some of the best memories you have in the entire history of your life. Chances are someone played a major role in your life that assisted or contributed to that memory.
We often don't feel like we have much to offer or that we have no time to do much for others however you can make a lasting impact on anothers life. Maybe it's a phone call or text today? Maybe you send an e-card or a real card in the mail? Maybe you decide you are going to cut your neighbor's lawn or bring them over some cookies and sit down and spend 15 minutes talking and listening.
Whatever it is remember the words of Jesus when He said..."The greatest among you will be your servant.(Matthew 23:11). Jesus didn't just preach it, He lived it
John 13:12-17--When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. "Do you understand what I have done for you?" he asked them. 13"You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. 15I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
Don't underestimate the power of serving. When you put someone else first you will make a lasting impact on their life and show them a glimps of the presence and love of God! What a deal!
