Relationships are rewarding, exhilarating, fulfilling, encouraging and disappointing, painful, hurtful and confusing. Relationships are complex and take a lot of work which is why it is so easy to stay surface level. This is why it is so easy to avoid meaningful relationships and just stay busy.

It sounds like a good plan until we feel empty and disconnected. We were created for relationships and we were created to value relationships. When we disengage from a relationship with our Creator and relationships with others we miss out.

In order to experience the depth of love my heart longs for;

I need to be willing to experience the depth of a relationship.

No relationship, no love! Yes I open up myself to hurt but I also open myself up to love!

This is why Jesus said, "Love God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself." Both of them are connected and equally important.

Jesus’ brother James continues the teaching to the early church when he wrote in…

1 John 4:7-8—7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

James goes on to say if you do not love others than you don’t know God! You cannot separate one from the other. Since God is love the more connected to God we become the more loving we become.

Wait a minute Jeremy, are you saying you can attend church and even give in the offering and not be connected to God? YES! Spiritual activity alone isn't a sign of spiritual maturity and health. The FRUIT of the Holy Spirit is. John 15 says we need to continually remain in Him to produce fruit in our lives.

When you and I are connected to God, love expands inside of us. When we are disconnected love lessons. We start judging ourselves by our intentions and judging others by their actions. We start holding grudges and keeping score. We lose focus.

How much love is in operation in your life? In your relationships? That is a good indicator of how connected you are to God? Here is the GOOD NEWS! If you are lacking in love, the one who is LOVE is waiting with open arms. You can be reconnected in this moment! Allow the one who is LOVE to fill you with HIS love so you can began to share HIS love!

Faith Prayer
Father God, forgive me for not sharing your love the way you have called me to. I recognize and confess in this moment I have not been connected to the way I could be. Forgive me! Thank you for your love and grace. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you that I can walk in forgiveness, freedom and in your love today. I can love my spouse, children, neighbors and even enemies the way you have loved me. In Jesus name ! AMEN! Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6018952483700523395.post-90567873564506674862017-04-28T12:21:00.001-07:002017-04-28T12:21:15.151-07:00How do I live in PEACE with all of this pressure Part 4

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Do you remember as a child waiting for Christmas morning? The excitement! The joyful anticipation? Even if there were no presents under the tree when you went to be you were confident when you woke up there would be something there for you!
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">When we know someone is going to follow through on their promise it allows us to be at peace. Even if we have to wait we are peaceful. Even if we don't understand fully we are peaceful. Why? We know the person is going to come through for us. The same is true in our spiritual lives.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Our thinking directly impacts our emotions. <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Have you ever been enjoying a peaceful moment and out of nowhere something complete destroys it? Not only is your peaceful tranquility completely destroyed you go from one end of the pendulum to the opposite. One moment you are peaceful, relaxed and smiling and the next moment you angry, yelling and lashing out. How does that happen? How can I remain peaceful in those moments when the kids are being disrespectful or disobedient? How can I remain peaceful when my spouse speaks rudely or down to me? How can I be peaceful when co-workers or friends at school are making fun of me or making me look foolish?
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="background-color: #f3f3f3; color: blue; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">#2 - Reflect on what is inside of you
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I quoted this in part 1 but Andy Stanley says, "What is in you, will come out of you, regardless of who is with you." If you have a cup of water and you accidentally bump the glass the water will spill naturally. Our first response is, "What a klutz I am. If I didn't bump the glass the water wouldn't of spilled." Even though that is a true statement there is a deeper truth as well. If the water wasn't in the glass to start with the water would not have spilled.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">When we have people, circumstances and just plain life bump up against us we discover a lot of things we don't like. I have seen pride, anger, jealousy and even spite come out of me. Look at what Paul says...
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Romans 5:5-8--Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I love what Craig Groeshel says, "<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">My mind is filled with the peace of God.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">In Romans 8:5-10, Paul illustrates how to be at peace. He says living by the

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">So when life bumps up against you and your peace disappears; PAUSE! Take a moment to reflect on what is coming out of you. Take a moment to confess your sins and your sin nature to God. PAUSE and allow the Holy Spirits love and conviction to bring change into your life. Invite His Holy Spirit in that moment to invade your life and to renew your mind. All the Holy Spirit to bring fresh peace.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">One of the things we talked about this past Sunday was how many people strive for peace but do not walk in it? Be honest, how often throughout a normal week do you live at peace? Most followers of Christ live overwhelmed, stressed, full of anxiety and the sure weight of life.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">How do you know if you are peaceful? How to you react when your children do not listen or obey? How do you react when someone at work is short or rude with you? How to you react when someone cuts you off on the road? I love what Andy Stanley says "What is in you will come out of you, regardless of who is with you!"
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Over the next week I am going to share different thoughts on how we can stay better connected to Jesus and live daily in peace. I will share a daily practical thought on how to allow God's peace to rule your heart!
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="background-color: #f3f3f3; color: blue; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">#1 - Remember the source of your PEACE
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Jesus left an amazing promise for His followers.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">John 14:27-I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Jesus reminds us that true peace of mind and heart does not come from anything in this world. No relationship, no job, no house, no circumstance, no amount of money and not success can bring us that kind of peace. If it could all of the celebrities and sports stars would be known as people at peace.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Jesus clearly states that He is the source of peace. Not only is He the source of peace but He gives us peace as a gift. All we have to do is unwrap it and use it. As a follower of Christ peace is something that becomes yours because of the generosity and love of God.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">So when your children are not listening, your teacher is being too harsh, your sister borrowed your clothes without asking or your boss is being a jerk; simply PAUSE! When you feel the weight and stress of life beginning to weigh you down and fill you with anxiousness, PAUSE! Pause and remember, my peace never came from these situations or relationships and they can't take it away. My peace comes from JESUS!
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">It is just like Google Maps Navigation. Sometimes you have to hit re-center to see where you are at on the journey. When you PAUSE hit re-center and spend a moment in prayer or worship and thank God He has given you the gift of peace.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Daily Faith Prayer
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">God thank you for giving me the gift of peace. No matter what happens to me or around me today I receive your peace and am going to walk in your peace. Your Spirit lives within me and is developing the fruit of peace everywhere I go. In Jesus Name! AMEN!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6018952483700523395.post-20798053937261070252016-06-10T06:17:00.000-07:002016-06-10T06:17:03.164-07:00You Pick: End Times Continued

During the message I talked about 2 of the "Signs of the end times" that Jesus shared. I talked about the persecution of followers of Christ and how sin will be rampant and the love of many will grow cold. Here are some quick thoughts of the other signs in Matthew 24.

Sign #1 - Many will come in my name claiming to be the Messiah

When we hear someone claiming to be the Messiah today in the news we laugh and think of the person as crazy. However, there are many people who claim they have the way to eternal life when Jesus said clearly He was the way, truth and life, no one can come to the father except through me. That is why Jesus told us not to be deceived.
GEORGE BARNA says: "One common thread in every survey has been
the significant number of Millennials among these “Nones.” The initial Pew
survey found that nearly one-in-three members of the Millennial generation
(32%) has no religious affiliation. But, who are these faithless

Recent surveys by
the Barna Group have shed light on this trend by examining those 18- to

but who have since begun to wrestle with that identity. In fact, between high
school and turning 30, 43% of these once-active Millennials drop out of regular
church attendance—that amounts to eight million twentysomethings who have, for
various reasons, given up on church or Christianity.

False prophets in the Old Testament would prophecy peace and safety even though the people of Israel were doing everything God has asked them not to do and were not doing anything that God had asked them to do. When the prophets of God spoke the truth, they were persecuted and killed.

Have people predicted Jesus coming in vain? Yes! Have people tried to scare people with the end times? Yes! In spite all of this, we see in the Bible that Jesus is coming again so all who believe can be with Him! We are closer now than ever before.

Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit

Galatians 5:16-So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing
what your sinful nature craves.

The word "Filled" with the same spirit means to be "intoxicated." Paul is saying the same way you are intoxicated with wine, be intoxicated with the Holy Spirit. When someone is intoxicated with win it will ruin their life but being intoxicated or filled with the Holy Spirit will enable you to walk in strength, power and victory.

The Bible makes it clear that every person who puts their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior has the Holy Spirit living inside of them. (Romans 8:9-14 & Ephesians 1:13-15). The Bible also makes it clear that there is a secondary experience or outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our lives. If you read the account of the early church in the Book of Acts you will see them being filled with the Holy Spirit time and time again. It wasn't just a one time experience in Acts 2 but continues on through the entire book and throughout human history.

Paul said in Galatians 5:16 the more we are controlled and led by the Holy Spirit the less we will do what our sinful nature craves. We need the power of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives every single day. Here is a prayer you can pray each morning. Feel free to change the words and make it your own.

I pray you fill my with your Holy Spirit today once again. I want to be completely filled the way Paul writes in Ephesians 5:18. <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This is part 2 in my blog series. If you haven't read part 1 yet, pause, read it and then come back.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

In my message we looked at David and how he stayed back from battle. He had spent his entire life pursuing what God had called him to do. When he was a shepherd he pursued the lion. When he was helping his dad and brothers and pursued a Philistine giant. When he served Saul he pursued his enemies. When he became King of Israel he pursued and led in many battles.

Yet in 2 Samuel 11 we see in the spring when kings go out to war, David stayed behind. He delegated his calling to Joab his army commander. As leaders we need to delegate authority. We need to delegate tasks. However, we should never delegate calling. God has a specific plan and purpose for your life and you and I cannot delegate that to others.

You cannot delegate your prayer life. You cannot delegate sharing your faith. You can not delegate obedience to God's voice. You cannot delegate the role that God has called you to. You and I are called to pursue the very role or calling he has placed on our lives.

What has God called you to do in His Word? What has God called you to do in ministry? What has God called you to do at home? What has called called you to do in your community? Whatever he has called you to do pursue it with all of your heart! If you are not pursuing God's calling you will find yourself pursuing other things like David. When you pursue other things, the results will not be what you truly wanted for your life. Pursue God and his calling on your life!
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This past Sunday we talked about not just resisting temptation but pursuing God and his calling for your life. The sermon was based off of these 2 verses...

1 Timothy 6:11—But you,

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Prayer is like oxygen. It is our communication with God; both talking and listening. Prayer is not getting God to do what we want but more of aligning ourselves to what God is already doing. Prayer is the pathway to God's peace according to Philippians 4. Prayer is powerful.

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Here is a powerful prayer that I mentioned on Sunday that you could pray every morning. It is based on many scriptures and is taking those scriptures and making them faith statements for your personal life.

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

Thank
you God You have given me authority and victory over every lie, temptation and attack of the devil. I thank you I am a new
creation in Christ Jesus, the old is gone and the new has come.
Thank you God I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.
Thank you no weapon formed against me will prosper. Thank
you I have the mind of Christ. Thank you I can be everything
you have called me to be and I can do everything you have called
me to do. Thank you I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me. I render every attack of the enemy powerless
through the authority of Jesus Christ. I will move forward today.
I will walk in victory today. I will fix my mind upon you today.
I will pursue you God and you alone. I will walk in constant connection with You and be led by Your Holy Spirit. I will pursue everything you have
for me today. IN JESUS NAME!!! Amen.

Prayer doesn't solve all of our temptations. But when we are pursuing God daily through prayer we will find ourselves being more and more consumed with His love and purpose for our lives and less with the sins that so easily entangle us.

ACTION STEP: Pick a time daily you can spend time in prayer. When are you most alert? (in the morning or at night) Where could you get alone and pray? How can you remind yourself?

2 Sundays ago I shared a short clip from the life of Ian & Larissa. Marriage was designed to portray the love of God to this world. Think about it for a moment. God's love is selfless and sacrificial. That is what a marriage is called to be. God's love is giving and generous. That is what a marriage is called to be. God's love is forgiving and patient. That is what a marriage is called to be. God did all of this for us regardless of how we responded. That is what a marriage is called to be.
When you and I make marriage a covenant between God and not a contract with our partner, the world will see God's love through your marriage. That is the way he designed it. Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6018952483700523395.post-43326901288874078182016-02-02T08:06:00.001-08:002016-02-02T08:06:48.260-08:00Living in 3D part 3

The 2nd D in 3D living is Discovering other peoples story! The 3rd D in 3D living is "Discerning next steps."
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">For many years we have been taught that sharing our faith means we shared Bible verses and led people to cross the line into a relationship with Jesus. That surely is part of it but is is so much deeper and more than that.
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">
What if sharing your faith became more about asking the question, "Holy Spirit, how can you use me in someone's life today to draw them closer to you?" What if you looked at your co-worker, friend, neighbor or boss and simply asked God, "what do they really need and how can I help meet that need?"
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">If we trusted the Holy Spirit more in sharing our faith we would not only would it become adventurous but we would see more fruit. Helping people discern next steps is so important. Maybe on a specific day they do need an encouraging Bible verse. However, maybe they need a book, CD, or just for you to take them out to a ball game so they can get away from the hectic day to day pace of life. Only the Holy Spirit knows what they need. As we develop friendships, ask questions and discover stories we trust the Holy Spirit to help us discern next steps.
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">When these are in action, sharing our faith truly does become 3D! Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6018952483700523395.post-83898284556905273642016-01-29T10:15:00.004-08:002016-01-29T10:15:56.952-08:00Compassionate or Critical?
Ask more questions than you talk about yourself. Find out about the other persons life. Here are some great starter questions...
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> 1. What was your childhood like growing up?
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> 2. As a teen/young adult what did you dream of doing?
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> 3. Have you always worked in this field/line of of work?
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> 4. What was your spiritual life like growing up?
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> 5. Where do you usually find your happiness from?
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> 6. Has there been a season of your life that you have enjoyed the most? Why?
<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #4c4c4c; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">There is obviously thousands of more questions you could ask but these questions will begin to help you develop of habit of getting to know other peoples stories. As you learn other peoples stories, you will see natural doors open up for you to share your faith. Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6018952483700523395.post-87657166921324860092016-01-27T10:44:00.000-08:002016-01-27T10:44:07.420-08:00Living in 3D part 1

If we want to share our faith we have to become better at friendship building. We have to become better at caring for people. Listening to people. Loving people. We have to become better at understanding.

I love what Mark Batterson says in his book "The Wild Goose Chase." "If we are going to fulfill the ancient commission we need to get out of the comfortable confines of our Christian ghettos and invade some hellholes with the light and love of Christ."

What would happen if you put your script, speech and plans aside for a moment and began to build friendships with people around you? What would happen if you genuinely looked for opportunities to serve and help? Can you imagine what doors God would open up for you to share your faith?
We often pull back from expecting too much because we think if we don't expect much we won't hurt as much. However, pulling back on our expectations has a greater negative effect than you think. We we lower our expectations we stop pursuing and pouring as much energy into something. We we lower our expectations we lose passion. When we lower our expectation we miss out on the beauty right in front of us.
For Part 1 we talked about the definition of joy. Joy is an outward sign of an inward faith in the promises of God (quote from Tommy NewBerry). Joy is more internal than external. Regardless of the circumstances that surround us we can be joyful. We looked at the shepherds and how the message of Jesus Christ brought abundant joy. Even though their personal situation didn't change, they were able to now live with JOY because of Jesus Christ!

We all want to be joyful. No one wants to walk around discouraged, fearful, depressed and angry or aggravated. So why do some people seem to walk around full of joy while others don't? Why do some people seem to encounter tragedy and yet still maintain joy as their strength?

Galatians 5:22 ways that JOY is a fruit of the Spirit. The more we spend time with Him the more joyful we become. The greater His Spirit directs our lives the more joyful we become. It is a natural byproduct.

I challenge you to spend at least the first 10 minutes of every day with God. Spend time worshipping. Spend time praying. Spend time reading your Bible. Don't know where to begin? Try this Christmas Bible reading plan.

Matter of fact, every time I look on my news app on my phone I see articles about homosexuality, lesbianism, bi-sexual, thrupples etc. It seems that sexuality has become the #1 news source and what media wants to talk about.

What many people don't realize, there is a lie that is going undetected. There is a major identity shift that our media is trying to reprogram without people even realizing it. Here is the undetected lie...your sexuality is your identity.

Just 15 years ago people would introduce themselves by their name. People were known for their service or accomplishments. Now people introduce themselves or build a reputation solely based on their sexuality. "Hi, my name is Sally and I'm bi." "Hi, my name is Bob and I am transgender."

Here is the problem. We are so much more than sexual beings. Yes, sexuality is a big part of our lives. God created it and created it to be good. However, we also are spiritual, emotional, and intellectual beings. When we try to find our identity in anything other than God, it simply doesn't work. It will always leave us empty and searching. Why? We were created for so much more.

Matthew 6 teaches us that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then the other areas of our lives will fall into place. The very longing of our hearts and the very desires of our souls are fulfilled first in our relationship with God. If that isn't in place, then no amount of sex, sex changes or partners will fill that void.

I hope we realize the undetected lie is actually degrading and making us as humans less important and special. We were created in the image of God and matter. Our identity is in Him. No matter where you find yourself on the debates, Seek God first. Make Him your identity because sex can't produce that. Your identity is not your sexuality. You are so much more.

Being a servant is messing. It means you will sometimes be taken advantage of. It means sometimes you wont' be appreciated. It means sometimes the love will not be reciprocated. Sometimes the people you are serving won't even realize what you are doing. Being a servant is messy.

Being a servant is is powerful because it has nothing to do with the other person and everything to do with the condition of your heart and my heart. Look at Romans 5:8, Jesus died for us while we were sinners. He put us first even when we didn't give a rip about who He was or what He was doing for us. He did what needed to be done regardless of what we were doing. That is true love and service.

Just like Jesus we are called to serve people even while they sin. We are called to love people regardless of their current lifestyle. Matter of fact, to truly follow Jesus we are called to serve people that don't deserve it. (ouch that hurts...at least it hurts me :)

Once we see with compassion, we are called to action. How can you serve your boss you can't stand? How can you serve your neighbor who annoys you? How can you serve that family member who is an antagonizing atheist? How can you serve that co-worker is always trying to put themselves first while they push others down?

Following Jesus is messy!

We talked about how to truly make a difference and reach others with the love of Jesus in 2015.

The first part of the equation is SEE. We were challenged to see people the way Jesus sees people. Well, how is that? With compassion. BUT HOW DO We DO THAT? What can we do, to take simple growth steps in developing compassion in our lives?

The best way to develop compassion is to simple focus on the condition of your own heart. When you are fully aware of your failures, sins and short comings and are bringing them to Jesus. When you are expereincing His grace, patience, love and faithfullness, it makes it a lot easier to do the same with others. That is why Jesus said...
First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Jesus didn't say you can't help others. Jesus didn't say don't talk to others about things they are doing wrong. Jesus did say, FIRST, deal with yourself. When you do that, then you'll be able to SEE well enough to deal with the speck in your friends eye. Focusing on ourselves and surrendering our hearts to Jesus is a simple action step to developing a life of compasion. It is a simple step to help us SEE the way Jesus see's.

Paul also teaches us this in Romans 2:21—Well then, if you teach others, why don’t you teach yourself? You tell others not to steal but do you steal?

Lets be a people of compassion. Let's focus on our hearts, our attitudes, our thoughts and our actions. As we do this simple truth, we'll truly be able to SEE with compassion.
